Peserta Didik Baru Ikuti Rangkaian MPLS
Dalam rangka menyambut tahun ajaran baru 2023/2024, SMK PGRI 2 Kediri mengadakan kegiatan MPLS (Masa Pengenalan Lingkungan Sekolah) untuk peserta didik kelas X pada Senin, (17/07) sampai dengan Jumat, (21/7). Tujuan diadakannya MPLS untuk membantu peserta didik baru beradaptasi dengan lingkungan sekolah dan sekitarnya serta menumbuhkan motivasi dan perilaku positif. Tidak hanya di sekolah, MPLS juga diadakan di Lapangan Koramil Mojoroto.
Kegiatan MPLS dibuka oleh Bapak Ulul Mustagfirin, M.Pd. selaku kepala SMK PGRI 2 Kediri dalam apel pagi di lapangan sekolah. Beliau berharap, peserta didik kelas X dapat beradaptasi dengan baik dan dapat mengikuti rangkaian MPLS dengan lancar. MPLS hari pertama dan kedua diisi dengan kegiatan pengenalan lingkungan sekolah, mulai dari pengenalan warga sekolah hingga fasilitas sekolah. Peserta didik juga mendapatkan wawasan wiyata mandala dari Bapak/Ibu Guru Pendamping. Tidak berhenti di situ, pengenalan organisasi dan ekstrakurikuler di Grida’s Auditorium menyita perhatian peserta didik kelas X untuk mengikutinya. Hari ketiga dan keempat, MPLS diadakan di Lapangan Koramil Mojoroto untuk membentuk karakter peserta didik berjiwa nasionalisme melalui LBB (Latihan Baris Berbaris),
wawasan kebangsaan, dan cinta tanah air. Hari keempat pada Jumat (21/7) merupakan hari terakhir MPLS. Pada hari ini tidak terlalu banyak kegiatan. Setelah melakukan apel pagi, peserta didik juga diajarkan berbagai macam game (outbond) dan yel-yel. Tujuan diadakannya kegiatan ini adalah untuk membangun karakter kedisiplinan pada siswa, mempererat nilai persatuan antar sesama peserta didik dan juga mengajarkan jiwa korsa terhadap sesama. “Harapan setelah diadakannya acara ini dapat membawa banyak perubahan karakter, menumbuhkan kedisiplinan, jiwa korsa, saling menghormati dan saling menghargai yang dapat tertanam pada jiwa peserta didik Grida, sehingga ketika pembelajaran sekolah dimulai berjalan dengan lancar dan juga Grida semakin maju untuk kedepannya,” ucap Bapak Tutug, anggota Koramil Mojoroto.
