MEDALI PERUNGGU BERHASIL DIKANTONGI PADA PERLOMBAAN PORPROV VIII JAWA TIMUR 2023
Salah satu siswi SMK PGRI 2 Kediri, yaitu Syafa Az Zahra dari kelas XI AKL (Akuntansi) 2 bersama timnya mampu mengantongi medali perunggu (juara 3) dalam ajang Pekan Olahraga Provinsi (Porprov) VIII di Kota Mojokerto pada perlombaan petanque. Petanque adalah salah satu jenis olahraga asal Prancis yang menyerupai permainan kelereng, tetapi memiliki bentuk yang lebih besar. Tim yang ikut pada perlombaan ini yaitu Farah Navira Arwidya dari Universitas Negeri Malang, Rizqa Putri Hartutik dari Universitas Nusantara PGRI), dan Syafa Az Zahra dari SMK PGRI 2 Kediri.
Tidak heran atas kemampuannya karena beberapa kali ia menjadi siswi berprestasi di sekolah. Lomba yang mencatat nama Syafa Az Zahra serta mengharumkan nama SMK PGRI 2 Kediri di antaranya, Rektor Series 2023 di Gresik berhasil mengantongi medali perak atau juara 2, Kejurprov 2023 di Probolinggo berhasil mengantongi medali perungu atau juara 3, dan Porprov 2023 di Mojokerto berhasil mengantongi medali perungu atau juara 3.
Perjalanan Syafa Az Zahra untuk bisa sampai di titik ini sangatlah tidak mudah. Beruntungnya ia selalu mendapatkan dukungan dari orang tua, semua teman, dan juga dari pihak sekolah. Dalam persiapan lomba, dia harus mengorbankan waktu untuk latihan di hari Senin dan Rabu. Ia sanggat bangga atas apa yang diraihnya pada perlombaan ini dan berharapnya selalu bisa membanggakan orang tuanya. “Semoga bisa memberi motivasi kepada teman-teman bahwa kita juga harus rajin untuk berolahraga.” Ia juga berharap semoga ke depannya bisa mendapatkan hasil yang lebih baik lagi.
