Keren!!! Siswi SMK PGRI 2 Kota Kediri Menyabet Medali Perak Lomba Wushu di Palembang
Salah satu peserta didik putri dari SMK PGRI 2 Kota Kediri, yaitu Sofia Ranti dari kelas XI DKV 1 mampu merebut medali perak (juara 2) dalam ajang Wushu Sanda di Palembang. Tidak heran atas kemampuannya karena ia masuk dalam daftar siswi berprestasi di sekolah ini. Tidak hanya sekali ia memeroleh gelar juara dari berbagai lomba Wushu yang diadakan di luar sekolah. Lomba Wushu yang mencatat nama Sofia Ranti serta mengharumkan nama SMK PGRI 2 Kota Kediri seperti, Kejurnas 2022 di Surabaya (medali perunggu/juara 3), Popda 2022 di Sidoarjo (medali emas/juara 1), dan Popnas 2023 di Palembang (medali perak/juara 2).
Perjalanan Sofia Ranti untuk bisa sampai di titik sekarang tidaklah mudah, beruntungnya ia selalu mendapat support dari orang tua, teman-teman, dan tentunya dari pihak sekolah. Sofia Ranti belajar ilmu Wushu sejak ia masih duduk di bangku kelas 1 SMP. Saat diwawancara, ia berkata bahwa belajar ilmu Wushu itu karena keinginan dari diri sendiri tanpa adanya paksaan dari orang lain atau pihak lain. Karena ia sudah menyabet beberapa juara Wushu yang diselenggarakan di luar sekolah, membuatnya lebih semangat dalam menekuni ilmu bela diri tersebut. Motto yang tertanam dalam diri Sofia Ranti adalah “Prestasi bukan hanya bisa diperoleh dalam bidang akademik saja. Namun, bisa dalam bidang non akademik. Persiapkan masa depan melalui berbagai cara. Jika tumbang segera bangkit lagi. Lakukan itu terus menerus sampai mencapai masa depan yang selama ini diimpikan.” Memiliki siswi berprestasi di bidang non akademik adalah suatu kebanggaan untuk pihak sekolah. Dengan adanya siswi berprestasi, pihak sekolah mampu membuktikan bahwa peserta didiknya tidak hanya mampu bersaing di bidang akademik saja, melainkan juga non akademik. Itu juga merupakan salah satu bukti bahwa sekolah ini mampu membantu peserta didiknya menemukan potensi diri serta mengembangkannya. Suatu kebanggaan karena Sofia Ranti mampu mengharumkan dan meninggikan nama sekolah pada khalayak umum di luar sana. “Harapan saya untuk siswa siswi lain, ayo temukan potensi diri kalian dari sekarang! Karena memiliki potensi diri itu mempermudah kalian untuk menggapai masa depan yang cemerlang,” tutup Sofia Ranti saat wawancara. (Nova)
