BANGUN KEPERCAYAAN DIRI SISWA DALAM PELATIHAN PUBLIC SPEAKING
Jurusan Manajemen Perkantoran dan Layanan Bisnis (MPLB) SMK PGRI 2 Kediri mengadakan kegiatan peningkatan kompetensi public speaking untuk membangun kepercayaan diri siswa. Kegiatan ini berlangsung pada (09-10/10) yang diikuti oleh siswa kelas X dan XI jurusan MPLB. Acara ini diadakan di Grida’s Auditorium dan dihadiri guru tamu yang bernama Bapak Sumanto. Beliau adalah seorang guru public speaking yang sudah profesional.
Tujuan dari acara ini adalah guna meningkatkan keterampilan siswa/i dalam berkomunikasi dan etika berkomunikasi di depan umum. Siswa/i dilatih oleh Bapak Sumanto tentang public speaking yang baik dan benar, tentang etika dalam public speaking, dan cara menghadapi grogi dalam public speaking.
Para siswa/i sangat antusias dalam mengikuti rangkaian acara tersebut. Terbukti dari mereka yang tidak ragu untuk mengajukan pertanyaan terkait topik yang dibahas. Secara umum, kendala yang mereka alami ketika berbicara di depan umum yaitu takut, gugup, tidak percaya diri, dan lain sebagainya.
Acara berjalan lancar dan sukses. Para siswa/i memiliki bekal dengan adanya kegiatan ini. “Saya merasa senang dengan adanya kegiatan ini dan menambah wawasan saya menjadi lebih luas untuk mengenal apa itu public speaking,“ tutur Yuni siswi XI MPLB 4. (Melinda)
